Applications of saffron

Dried red stigmas are the flowers of the saffron plant, which is mainly used as a flavor, coloring and seasoning in cooking. In Iran, saffron is used in most foods. Saffron is used in a variety of stews such as stuffing with potatoes, eggplant stuffing and rice such as tahchin, barberry pilaf with chicken, beans, pilaf and lentils. It is also widely used in desserts such as yellow flakes and halva.
In the textile industry, saffron is used as a dye for fabrics. Today, natural dyes have many fans around the world due to their consumer safety and lack of negative effects on body health. Natural dyes have been used in the dyeing industry for many years.
Due to its special composition, saffron is used in health industries as well as in the production of aromatic and deodorant substances. In the perfume industry, saffron is used as an essential oil as a cosmetic.
In ancient medicine, a mixture of saffron, cinnamon powder, spring orange powder, rose petals, egg yolk, natural musk, cereal powder is used as a potion.
